Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are interested in pursuing the course of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering must make sure that they are eligible enough as per the specified criteria. The course is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. After the completion of the course, the candidates will have various scopes in further fields like Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Aircraft Maintenance Avionics Engineer, Aircraft Technician, Technical Services Engineer, and Graduate Engineering Trainee, etc.

  • Candidates must have qualified their 12th with PCM or equivalent AICTE approved 3 years engineering diploma in any stream or any higher qualification in science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the time of admission.
  • Candidates who are eligible for admission in B.Tech Courses are also eligible for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course.
  • The age of the candidate must be between 16 to 28 years at the time of admission.
  • The candidate must not have color blindness and any physical disabilities.
  • The applicant must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their 10+2 in PCM or equivalent.

  • Efficiency and organization:- Organizational efficiency is a measure of the relationship between organizational inputs (resources) and outputs (goods and services provided).
  • Team working skills:- Teamwork skills are the qualities and abilities that allow one to work well with others during conversations, projects, meetings, or other collaborations. Having teamwork skills is dependent on your ability to communicate well, actively listen and be responsible and honest.
