ITI Electrician is a 2-year certification course. There are a total of 4 semesters and it is approved by the NCVT (National Council Vocational Training). In this course, the candidates will be able to get specific information about electrical wiring of buildings, transmission lines, stationary machines, and related equipment.

The course of ITI Electrician is related to the installation of new electrical components or maintenance and repair of existing electrical infrastructure. Electrician courses are generally focused on either construction or maintenance, although many do both. Electricians specializing in construction primarily install wiring systems into factories, businesses, and new homes. The Electricians specializing in maintenance fix and upgrade existing electrical systems and repair electrical equipment.
ITI Electrician is a job oriented course. After pursuing this course, the candidates will be able to work in various profiles as an Electrician, Wireman, Electrical Machine Operator, Welder, Supervisor (after experience), Technician, etc. Thereafter, the ITI Electrician certificate holders can work under the Emami, Hindustan Petroleum, TATA Consultancy Services, Tata metaliks, etc.
Apart from that, the ITI Electrician can work in government and private sectors. Not only can one start his/ her business in the electrician field, but he/ she will also be able to pursue a higher education Bachelor’s degree or any other high qualification in India or abroad.
